Poems of Thobile Maso

I Know For Sure

A poem by Thobile Maso©Tobile Maso 2007

Growing in the working class family life
Captured I was into daily activities of working humans
Silently crept my inner authentic essence of being
Without realization I was gripped and grasped into it

I DID NOT SEE IT COMING!

I was powerless to tear myself away from it
Either I surrender or resign to utter defeat
I am not a diver, yet I swim among the experience ones
Coming from ordinaries doing extra ordinary things with simplest tools

WHAT A UNIQUE STYLE OF EXISTENCE!

To be transformed into a spring of compressed energy
To be on earth where unmodified food comes from
To know the blood and steel of factory workers
To know their hungry spoon crying in agony
To be a contributor with what I have

THE SOUND OF EXPLOTION!

Cannot escape the powerful mighty of labour creators
Who fend to feed and fashion the society
Who shield to shelter and shoulder the ills of society
The builders of humanity yet treated inhuman

YES! I KNOW NOW!

FOR SURE!
